Pop top installer / factory hand, Capalaba
Sick of fitting kits that don't quite fit?
We hand-lay our own pop top and hi-top roofs here in Capalaba, and you fit them. If something's not right, the person who made it is across the shed, not a phone call away.
The job
- Full time, or subcontract per install (see below)
- Our workshop at 1/10 Jones Rd, Capalaba
- Fitting our pop tops and hi-tops to HiAce, Sprinter, Transporter, LT35 and other vans
- About 25 to 30 hours per van, over 3 to 4 days
- Lids and bases go on with a walk-behind forklift. No licence needed, we'll show you how.
- Between installs, and while the Sikaflex cures, you'll help in the factory: laminating, detailing and packing
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2:30pm, Friday 6am to 12:30pm. Start time can shift by an hour if that suits you better. Just ask.
- Pay: $35 to $40 an hour plus super, depending on experience
- You'll be working with fibreglass and resin, and all the proper PPE is supplied.
You'll suit it if you
- Have fitted pop tops or hi-tops, or done van fit-out work before
- Work tidy, because every van goes back to someone about to go on holidays
- Turn up on time, every day
