How much more room would I get with a Pop-Top Roof?

When raised, the pop-top roof adds approximately 600 mm extra interior height. When lowered, the pop-top adds approximately 140 mm to the exterior height (depending on the vehicle).

How does a Pop-Top Roof work?

The Pop Tops have three canopy lifters (also known as 'scissor lifts'), one on each side and one at the rear. The lifters assist the raising and lowering of the roof.

The canopy lifters are a simple operation that require slight pressure to start and then the springs take over making it quite effortless. Don't forget, if you try to lift the roof with all your doors and windows closed it's almost impossible as a vacuum forms and prevents you from doing so!

RV Air Lifters are an available option that may help for those who still want to have a pop top but need assistance with raising the roof.

What is the canvas of the Pop-Up Roof made of?

The canvas sleeve is made of quality grey canvas with the option of three or four windows. The windows have YKK zippers and fine gauge fly screens (great for keeping those pesty sand flies out).

Do I need lighting installed in my new pop-top roof?

Most people these days are happy to use battery operated led lights rather than install wiring in the roof. It's a much better option and no wires to crimp and possibly damage as the roof goes up and down. It also saves the house battery.

Can I have a bed installed in the converted roof of my RV?

This is not something that we do, however, it is possible for you to make the adjustment to accommodate a bed up top.

Can I add a solar panel or an air vent on my converted pop-up roof?

Yes, solar panel and air vents can be installed but you would need to limit the weight placed on the roof and consider that this will also add to the weight when raising and lowering the roof.

Keep in mind that some additions or adjustments made to your roof that have not been done by us could void any warranty.
